Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw held a press conference on a deputy-involved shooting.The incident occurred Tuesday evening on Silver Maple Drive and Meed Drive.According to the sheriff's office, a man in his twenties carjacked an Uber driver and stabbed him in Broward County.Palm Beach County deputies located the vehicle near Meed Drive where they performed a traffic stop.Sheriff Bradshaw says deputies tried to deescalate the situation as the suspect paced back and forth with a knife. Deputies fired their weapons when the suspect came towards them.The suspect died.The two deputies involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave. According to Sheriff Bradshaw, an independent witness captured the incident on a cellphone and they also have dashcam video from the deputies vehicles. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Florida State's attorney's office are involved in the investigation.
