Escape from the bustle of the city to the serenity of a gorgeous, 7-acre estate located in a lovely neighborhood just outside Lake Worth, TX on the far west edge of Fort Worth; where you can retreat, relax and revive in true country-style luxury.
This rustically-elegant ranch house is a true gem, nestled on a white-fenced property secluded amidst oak trees and naturally manicured grounds. You will delight in beautiful views of rolling, scenic acreage from every window-filled spot in the house. Enjoy coffee, cocktails or dining on the front veranda overlooking a lovely meadow and natural pond with birds and wildlife.
The rental area is comprised of two separate structures:
The main house, a 1500-sq ft. custom-built home, designed by acclaimed Fort Worth architect, Weldon Turner. The house features hand-poured, colored-glass inset windows accenting its thick Granbury stone walls, wood floors, and 20’-high wood ceilings with huge, rough-honed, wooden beams. It comfortably accommodates two in a queen-size bed in the large master bedroom, with adjoining master bath, which opens onto a beautiful flagstone patio.
If you enjoy cooking, you will love our incredible, open, gourmet kitchen, with commercial gas stove and convection oven, dishwasher, Sub-Zero fridge, outdoor infrared BBQ and separate electric smoker. We also provide the option of having gourmet meals prepared and served for your convenience, or for your entertaining needs, by our local chef.
The second building is a ridiculously cool, 700-sq ft. free-standing, Private Theater, where you can watch cable TV, select from a wide variety of DVDs and workout videos, or listen to music as loud as you like! This plush entertainment center seats 8 in chairs and up to 4 on the sofa. The space is acoustically-insulated with a 15’ movie screen, surround sound, a wet bar with a small refrigerator, and a guest bath; making it optimal for your viewing and listening pleasure, entertaining, business meetings, or presentations. And now, this Private Theater can accommodate up to 3 additional overnight guests, with a full-size sofa bed and an auto-inflate twin-bed air mattress that rises up above the floor. There is an additional charge for extra guests.
Just a few of the house’s other special amenities include a signature-style great room offering an integrated dining and living room experience (with extra-tall French doors that open onto the front veranda - fabulous for entertaining), fireplace, a separate sitting library, 2 large screen TVs (in addition to the movie screen at the theater), large walk-in shower in the master bath, plenty of closet space, and a half baths’ in both the house and the theater. (Please Note: The bathtub in the master bath is not functional)
Our guests take pleasure in having nature just steps outside the door, where two flagstone patios provide relaxing views, and where the outdoor dining settings can be enjoyed.
The 7-acre grounds offer plenty of places onsite to park cars, trucks, boats, jet skis, 3-wheelers, RVs / travel trailers (power hook up only) and horse trailers. However, there is no covered parking.
The property is located in a small, upscale, well-manicured neighborhood with very friendly neighbors; a safe and lovely place for enjoyable walks, day or night.
For extremely close dining, there is La Choza, an excellent Mexican restaurant where you can enjoy beautifully prepared, upscale Mexican cuisine in casual attire (without the upscale pricing you might expect). And the ultra-premium, boutique, Texas winery, LightCatcher Winery & Bistro; a lovely place for lunch and sometimes dinner, with live jazz on the 1st & 3rd Sundays in the months of April through November. Both venues are less than 3 minutes away from the house. Also, killer pizza and the best taco truck you’ll ever eat at are less than 5 minutes down the road.
The property manager will provide you with a list of additional places that you might not find on your own for good local dining.
Oak Mill Estate is less than a mile from public beaches, picnic areas and boat ramps on Lake Worth, and just 2-1/2 miles from Eagle Mountain Lake.
We are about 10-minutes from downtown Lake Worth where just about anything you might need is available, including a Starbucks and 24-Hour Fitness.
